If you are a company that provides large scale translation – please note that I am currently not looking to take on your services.

Translate subtitles

If you are an individual that would like to translate the subtitles on my video, please visit Amara and create a free account. Then from the workspace page, hit the green “+ Add videos” button.

In the pop up window, add the YouTube video URL to top box, and pick “English [en]” from the dropdown labelled “Language spoken in the video”.

Once the video is added to Amara Public, please go ahead and create the subtitles using the site’s tools. And once they are published, the subtitles are automatically added to the video on YouTube.

Re-upload video

If you are an individual that would like to translate my videos into a non-English language and re-upload them to your own YouTube channel, please note that I do allow this. I only ask that…

One: You add the following text towards the top of the video’s description. You may also provide a translation into the new video’s language if you desire.

“This is an unofficial translation of a video by Game Maker’s Toolkit. You can find the original at https://www.youtube.com/@gmtk “

Two: Only use skippable adverts at the beginning and end of the video. No mid-roll adverts, please.
